The SME sector as a target group for a successful bKV business

SME sector in Germany: This year, too, the shortage of specialists and executives in German medium-sized companies has become even more acute. 

Meanwhile, 78 percent of small and medium-sized enterprises complain about difficulties in attracting and retaining sufficiently qualified employees. Thus, the companies escape sales of around 50 billion euros annually through unused growth opportunities and order backlogs, according to a recent study by the auditing firm Ernst & Young.

It is therefore hardly surprising that there is an increasing interest in innovative personnel instruments, especially in small and medium-sized companies, which have to assert themselves in the fight for the best brains towards corporations. This offers brokers the unique opportunity to attract SMEs for the new and modernized range of occupational health insurance (bKV).

For beyond company cars, salary increases or premiums, occupational pension benefits are more attractive than ever for Germany’s aging workforces. An optimal medical care closes the gaps of the legal health insurance; At the same time, employees feel particularly valued because their most important asset is their health. And only those who feel comfortable will remain with the company. Medium-sized companies that prioritize the issue of health can score points without question.

The bKV is also an efficient human resources instrument for small and medium-sized enterprises when it comes to competing with large corporations. While the latter are often able to offer very broad occupational health services, the bKV is also affordable for smaller companies – and already provides for low monthly contributions for private patients.
